The Aygun Language Institute acts upon the request of the Table of Daanadell English Proficiency and regularly offers complete courses in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). The course aims to assist individuals with previous knowledge in teaching English and teachers who require an internationally appreciated qualification in teaching English as a foreign language.

Preparing for the TESOL English language teaching certificate equips trainees with the basic skills and knowledge needed to take up a robust career as a TESOL teacher. It gives an introduction to the theory and practice of English teaching and an insight into the challenges facing the learner and the role of the teacher.

The Certificate of TESOL is rated at Level 5 on Ofqual’s Regulated Qualifications Framework, a comparable level to the second year of an undergraduate degree, and comprises a minimum of 120 hours of engagement with the relevant teaching environment, including 6 hours of observed and assessed teaching practice.

Assessment units
